Meet your host
Hi, I’m Ben. I grew up in Berlin and now live in Himeji, in Japan. Having learned English and Japanese myself, I know what it is like to pick up a language as an adult, and that shapes how I teach and how I record.
I’ve given over 540 German conversation lessons on italki, and for me the most important thing is that you have fun while learning and speaking. When I’m not recording or teaching, you’ll usually find me traveling, hiking, or out in nature.
If listening is going well but speaking still feels far off, that gap is what a lesson is for. We just talk, at a pace that suits you.
